Howard Shelton Pledger, age 72, of Rome passed away Wednesday evening November 26, 2014.
Mr. Pledger was born September 17, 1942 in Floyd County son of the late Lula Mae Brock Pledger and Thomas Monroe Pledger. Prior to retirementhe worked as a custodian at General Electric, Alto Park School, and Mt. Berry Square Mall. He attended the Salvation Army Worship Center. Survivors include three children Tommy and Shelton Pledger, Christy (Emilio) Garcia Grave'; granddaughter Maya Garcia Grave' and siblings Bill, Harold, Shirley, Porter, and Jimmy Pledger.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 3 PM at Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue. Graveside funeral and interment services will be conducted at Lindale Cemetery following the visitation with Reverends Jason Pledger and Chris Hart officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family may be contacted regarding memorial contributions. The family may be reached at 410 Garrard Avenue.
