Jerrell Eugene Tolbert

Mr. Jerrell Eugene Tolbert, age 76, of Rome passed away November 7, 2016 in Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Tolbert was born September 18, 1939, Clarke County, Georgia, a son of the late Walter Thomas Tolbert, and Christine Hyde Tolbert. He was a member of Bush Arbor Baptist Church, after his retirement from Pet Bakery he was a truck driver for several local companies. He was preceded by a brother, Douglas Tolbert, and great grandson, Kaylan James Johnston.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Sprayberry Tolbert, children, Geraldine Tolbert Hunt, (James Sturgeon) Rome; James Calvin Tolbert, Rome; Jeff (Christina) Tolbert, Rome; brother, David (Sharon) Tolbert, Cave Spring; grandchildren, Chris, Chase, and Trey Tolbert, Jamie Johnston, and Noah Tolbert. 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday November 10, 2016 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dale Byars, and Rev. Ricky Studdard, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
