Julia Baxter Obituary
Mrs. Julia "Judy" E. Baxter, age 69, of Dawson, Alabama passed away Friday August 25, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Baxter was born December 7, 2017 in Floyd County a daughter of the late Tom Chapman, and Mary Castleberry Chapman. Mrs. Baxter had worked at Creswell Nursing Home, in Rome, and Goody's in Fort Payne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Baxter, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Marci Elrod, Valley Head, Al; son, Tony Brooks, Cave Spring, Ga; brother, Tommy Chapman, Armuchee; grandchildren, Cheyenne Elrod, Kyle Brooks, great grandson, Bentley Howard, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday August 28, 2017 at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Matt Rose, officiating. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
