Lavinia Mae Ross, age 77, of Taylorsville died Saturday afternoon January 6, 2018.
A native of Marceline, Missouri Mrs. Ross was born March 17, 1940 daughter of the late Fred Franklin Landreth and Nola Lorene Richardson Landreth. She was employed for several years as a hospital housekeeping supervisor in Gardner, KS while her husband was overseas with the United States Navy. Mrs. Ross was a devoted mother and loved cats and dogs and kids. She always had a big smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry Franklin Landreth, and sister Ruby Lorene Lang.
Survivors include her husband Glenn Raymond Ross, of Taylorsville; four sons Leslie Fred Ross (LeeAnn), Bruce Allen Ross (Gail),Kenneth Raymond Ross( Kellie Harper) and Brian Neal Ross(Christy); a brother David Fred Landreth(Jackie). Grandchildren Chad, Matthew, Jason, Beau, Tyler, Amber, Brook, Mark, Daniel, Erica, Kurt, Jacob, and Kristen, along with great grandchildren Lane, Matthew, Talynn, Gavin, and Sebastian.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the Chapel of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue, Rome with Reverend Tommy Harris officiating. Interment will follow at 2 P.M. Wednesday at the Georgia National Cemetery near Canton. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 P.M. at the funeral Home.
