Lona JoAnn Duncan Edwards, age 62 of Rome passed away Sunday December 5, 2021 in a local hospital.
Jo Ann was born May 29, 1959 in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Tommy Duncan and Evelyn Wood Roaderick. She was preceded in death by a uncle Milton Wood, sister Patricia Montgomery, daughter step daughter, Kayla Cooper.
Survivors include her husband Curtis Edwards to whom she was married March 23, 2003, daughters Jennifer Palmer and her husband, Cory Hudgins, Kassidy Cooper, sons, Alex Palmer, Clifford Palmer, 2 step sons, brothers, Marty (Lynn) Duncan, David (Mary) Duncan, sisters, Julia Duncan, Linda Mabry, several nieces and nephews also.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday December 11, 2021 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Kelley, Rev. Alfred Little, Rev. Daryl Golden, officiating. Interment will follow in Beech Creek United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday December 10, 2021 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen, Adam McGraw, Josh Edwards, Wayne Edwards, Chris Astin, Ray Astin, and Mikey Collins.
Honorary pallbearer, Shannon Willets.
