Lucinda Murphine Obituary
Lucinda "Cindy" Jolley Kiser Murphine, 66, of Armuchee, GA placed her hand in the Lord's on the beautiful fall evening of Tuesday, October 20, 2015 to celebrate eternal life.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Sammie Lou Kiser, sister Marion Kiser, brother David Kiser, Aunt Dean (Marion Jolley), and Odis Kiser.
A native of Bartow County, Cindy moved to Everett Springs in 1964. She was a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She will be remembered for the compassion, kindness, thoughtfulness and love that she showered on her family and friends and of course her decadent brownies. She always had a place on her couch, sweet tea in the fridge, a smile and keen ear to listen to her family and friends. Cindy will also be remembered for her smile and light hearted nature. Always eager to help, she was instrumental in arranging meals for sick church members, planning showers, teaching Sunday school, and coordinating/cleaning Mount Tabor UMC. Cindy was always easy to talk to and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Cindy is survived by Donald Allen Murphine, her spouse of 45 years, son, Jason Donald Murphine and his wife Allison and grandson, Alexander of Billings, MT.
Visitation will be held at Good Shepard Funeral Home Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, at 2:00 PM at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church with Dr. Wayne Hopper, Bryan Smith, and Dr.Dale McConkey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Internment will be at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Brown, Tommy Dunagan, Patrick Hopper, Johnny Murphine, Stephen Murphine, Deryck Marcum, Jason Miller, Rob Turner, and Adam Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, 2341 Everett Springs Road, Armuchee, GA, 30105.
