`Mrs. Mattie Lou Bailey Peal, age 90, of Cedartown formerly of Rome, passed away Wednesday August 28, 2019.
Mrs. Peal was born October 24, 1928, in Kingston, a daughter of the late James Legion Bailey and Bessie Mae Jones Bailey. She was a charter member of Garden Lakes Baptist Church. Mrs. Peal was retired from Floyd County School System where she was lunch room manager of Garden Lakes School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Edwin Peal.
Survivors include daughter, Judy Williams, Cedartown; sons, David Edwin (Terri) Peal, Cedartown; James Monroe (Robin) Peal, Ashville, NC; Tommy Warren (Elise) Peal, Virginia Beach, VA; Timothy William (Pam) Peal, Rome; sisters, Mary Sue Holmes, Canton; Shelia Bates, Rome; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
