Myra Jo Dake
Myra Jo Dake, age 80, of Rome passed away March 15, 2016 in a local hospital.
A native of Cherokee County, Alabama, Mrs. Dake was born August 29, 1935 daughter of the late Wim Monroe Anderson and Lillie Tallent Anderson. Prior to retirement, she was employed with Pet Bakery and Trend Mills. She loved her grandson, flowers, and her CBS soap operas. Mrs. Dake was a member of the Huffacre Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband , Delano Dake; daughter Janet Crane and son in law Anthony Daniel Crowe; son Jeff Dake; grandson Anthony Shane Dake, and a sister Jean Chestnut.
Graveside funeral and interment services will be conducted at 2PM Friday, March 18, 2016 at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Reverends Buddy Floyd and Tim Langford officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 until 2 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue.
