Nadine Rogers Obituary

Nadine Rogers, a long-time resident of Rome, GA, passed away on
January 29, 2021 at the age of 70.
Nadine is survived by her husband, James "Buzzie" Edward Rogers;
her son, James Stacy Rogers (Claire); and her granddaughters Kayla
and Kerri Rogers. She is predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Nadine
Rogers; her parents, Louie Delbert and Mary Elizabeth Clark; and her
brothers, Delbert and Danny Clark.
Nadine was born in Cartersville, GA on July 14, 1950. She was the
eldest daughter and one of eight children. She attended Dalton High
School and went on to receive her GED diploma in 1980. On May 17,
1968, she married Buzzie Rogers. On May 9, 1969 they welcomed
their son, James Stacy Rogers. On March 27, 1971 they welcomed
their daughter Lisa, who passed away as an infant due to a congenital
heart defect. Her proudest accomplishment was her son, Stacy, and
her family. Nadine went on to get her real estate license although she
never practiced. She was a dedicated home maker.
Nadine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her
granddaughters Kayla and Kerri were the light of her life. She fiercely
loved her family and loved to talk about how proud of them she was.
Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her loved ones. Nadine
always had a smile on her face and loved to laugh. She was always
making jokes with those around her and a joy to spend time with. She
enjoyed singing whether it was making up silly songs or going to
karaoke events. Everyone knew how much she loved to have fun and
was always the life of every party. The monthly family birthday dinners
and Christmas dinners were always a priority to her. She always made
sure to tell her family each time she spoke to them that she loved them.
She had a heart for animals that rivaled the love for her family. Her
dachshunds Rudy and Jake brought her immense happiness. She
recently expressed to a close family member that she prayed "that we
all will soon be together sitting in the sun and feeling well again". We
know that she knew Jesus Christ, her Savior, and that she has gone
home to be with Him. She is now with the Son, in the sun. She will be
deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. There will
always be a void in our lives.
