Mr. Ocie Leonard Robbins, age 82, of Rome passed away Friday April 22, 2016 in a local hospital.
Mr. Robbins was born April 30, 1933, in Rome, Ga. , a son of the late Julius Robbins, and Roberta East Robbins. He was a member of Anchored in Faith Church. He was employed by West Pepperrell and Kolman Mills, and later owned and operated Robbins Tree Service. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Wilson Robbins, daughter, Buffy Elaine Robbins, daughter in Rachel Kay Robbins, brothers, James L.W. Robbins, Johnny Robbins, sister, Mary Bell Glass Gentry.
Survivors include his sons, Lonnie Robbins, Jacob Robbins, James Garrett, Paul Garrett, all of Rome; daughters, Judy Fay Evans, Mary Robbins, Brittany Robbins, Lisa Garrett, Tonya Garrett, Carol Easterwood, all of Rome; sisters, Hazel Ghorley, rome; Jean Uvally, Rome; Virginia Wiggins, Rome, Kathrine Jones, Cave Spring; Margaret Wood, Douglasville; .
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday April 26, 2016, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Lindsey, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Eugene Robbins, Dean Coots, Jackie Austin, Will Whatley, Phillip Smith, Hand Hardin, Johnny Blake, and Shane Little.
