Owen James Hicks, age 20, Kingston Ga. Floyd County passed away June 5, 2016 in a local hospital.
Owen was born May 7, 1996 in Floyd County. He was a 2014 graduate of Model High School, attended Georgia Highlands College, and was employed by Profile Industries. Owen loved hunting, playing videos games with his friends, and working out. He loved being with his family and friends. Owen was preceded in death by grandfather, Clyde H. Corbin, step grandfather, Ronnie W. Davis, his great grandparents, Alvin and Annie Mae Corbin, Joseph W. Rickman and Sarah R. Rickman.
Survivors include, his parents, Ted and Tammy Corbin Hicks, sister, Emily Hicks, grandparents, Cindy Corbin, Linda Kowlok, and Jerry Hicks, many uncles, Aunts, and cousins. Your sweet, funny, loving sprit will abide in us all forever until we meet again.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Dykes Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Bobby Stephens, and Rev. Mikel Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Pond Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday June 10, 2016 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Owen will lie instate at Dykes Creek Baptist Church on Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until the funeral hour.
