Rebecca "Becky" Ann Looney Rollins, age 55, crossed into the loving arms of the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2021, while surrounded by her family that she so dearly loved.
Becky was born on May 10, 1966 and raised in Floyd County, Ga.
Survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Dell Rollins, daughters and best friends, Stephanie Bennett (Mike), Brandy Elrod (Josh), Haley Faloon (Chris); Grandchildren Dylan Rollins (Kenzie), Hunter Faloon, Ethan Bennett, Lindsey Faloon, Emmalyn Elrod, and Grayson Bennett. Father, Jerry Looney and Sisters, Milinda Looney, Faye Weeks and Samantha Kessler. Nieces and nephews also survive. She is also survived by her special canine pal Rocky. Wherever Becky sat, Rock sat as well.
Becky was preceded in death by her mother and step-father Betty Sue and Munroe Myers, sister, Milissa Clark, grandparents Arnold and Mozella Looney and Herbert and Bessie Franks, and a niece, Amber Yother.
A homemaker of 38 years, she devoted her life to her family and to the Lord. Becky wore many hats along her life's journey- Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Nenny to her six grandchildren. Each family member was individually special to Becky and she let them know it through her love and her ever precious smile. She loved every moment spent with her daddy and sisters. Finding happiness in the simple things in life, Becky was content as long as she was with her family. She was always thinking of others before herself.
She was an avid walker. She enjoyed the beauty of nature - red birds and flowers. She enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair on the porch, watching her chickens. She loved outdoor cookouts with her family. On a beautiful summer day, she could be found walking, gardening or fishing in her pond. In her journal, prayers for her family line the pages.
Becky can be quoted as saying "End your journey well. Don't waste your life and don't be satisfied with anything less than God's plan." Her life was well lived. Not a moment was wasted. She loved those around her fiercely with all of her heart.
The family would like to thank the staff of Emory Winship Cancer Institute - specifically Dr. William Read. They would also like to extend thanks to the staff of Redmond Regional Medical Center.
In honor of Becky's life, flowers or memorial contributions to Emory Winship Cancer Institute are equally welcome.
