Rhody Henderson Obituary
Rhody Eldridge Henderson, age 99, of Rome died Thursday evening, August 30, 2018 in a local health care center.
A native of Tennessee, Mr. Henderson was born March 13, 1919 son of the late Marshall and Annie Reese Henderson. He was a resident of Rome most of his life and was an employee of Fox Manufacturing Company. Mr. Henderson was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing, and rabbit hunting. He was an excellent carpenter and mechanic. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Army during World War II, and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal lord and savior on his 99th birthday. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by a daughter Rhoda Joyce Henderson.
Survivors include his wife, Grady Warmack Henderson, to whom he was married October 20, 1941; a son Jerry Henderson; Grandchildren Stephanie Henderson, Lisa Ammons, and Christopher Henderson; Great grandchildren Beth Scott, Wes Scott, Hannah and Chris Henderson, Jamey and Jessica Combs, and Brody Ammons; Great great grandchildren Anderson Beau Scott, Kennedy Leigh Scott, Addyson Freeman, and Bella Jacks; A brother Robert Earl Henderson also survives.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the North Rome Church of God with Reverend Terry Addis officiating. Interment will follow in the East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until the service hour.
