Robert Shane Roden, age 42, of Rome passed away on Sunday June 7, 2020 at his residence.
Shae was born on October 13, 1977 in Rome, Georgia to Katherine Hunter Edwards and the late Tommy Robert Ely. He was a member of City of Faith Christian Church in Chattanooga. Shane was preceded in death by a sister: Dawn Roden, and brother: Robert Yernest, Jr.
Survivors include mother: Katherine Edwards, of Rome; stepmother: Dianna Ely, of Rome; fiancé: Freddy Salcedo, of Rome; siblings: Venessa "Nikki" Clark, Melissa Roden, Candi Crowe, Janet Ely, Patricia Ely, Daniel Ely, and April Yernest; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday June 15, 2020 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home with Pastor Undra Finley, and Pastor Dianna Ely officiating. Interment will follow in Lindale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 noon until service hour at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen: Timm Turnipseed, Josh Crowe, Andrew Hart, Jeffery Farmer, Wesley Parsons, Cameron McRae, and Steve Rollins. Honorary pallbearers include: Cody Barnes, Chris Clark, and Timmy Clark.
