Ronald Popham Obituary
Ronald Edward Popham, age 68 of Wild Wood Cove, passed away Saturday June 6, 2015 at his residence.
Ronald was born March 13, 1947, Floyd County. He was employed by Rome Electric Motor's and true to his Craft for over 40 years as an electric motor rebuilder. After graduation from East Rome High School in 1965 he joined the Navy and served two tours in Vietnam, 66 and 70 revieved the Purple Heart. He loved fishing, family, Alabama Crimson Tide, he was a member of the Floyd County Wild Life Club, and life time member of NRA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Firestone Carter.
Survivors inlcude his wife of 29 years, Teresa Lumpkin Popham, daughters, Ronda (Keith) Robertson; Cynthia (Jimmy) Ferguson; Stasia (Clint) Woodall; grandchildren, Ben and Wade Robertson, Emily Ferguson, and Barrett Woodall.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday June 9, 2015, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Terry Burke, officiating. the family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
Memorials may be made the American Cancer Society.
