Roy Crider Obituary
Mr. Roy Daniel Crider, age 67, of Big Texas Valley, passed away Sunday January 18, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Crider was born April 30, 1947, in Ohatchee, Alabama a son of the late Lloyd Daniel Crider, and Nancy Faye Lambert Crider. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church but attended Church of Northside. Mr. Crider was member of Painter's Local #782, Carpenters for Christ, and a mason. He was retired from City of Rome Transit Department where he a was a bus driver for many years, he was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Crider was preceded in death by his brothers, and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Harris Crider, his, children, Tina (Marco) Castro, Armuchee; Letitia Crider Cooper, Silver Creek; Michael Crider, Rome; Missey Sartin, Lindale; Kelly (Keith) Woodard, Haleyville, Al; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 22, 2015 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Phil Wade, and Rev. Bobby Stephens, officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday January 21, 2015, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM on Thursday, Edgar King, Danny King, Horace King, Jesse King, Kris Crider, Steve I. Harris, Daniel Larue, and Tim Selman.
