Mrs. Sara Alice Carver Bradfield, age 89, of Shannon passed away Saturday February 28, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Bradfield was born, July 15, 1925, in Bowden. Ga. A daughter of the late Benjamin F. Carver and Eula May Moore Carver. She was a charter member of Rome Baptist Temple. She was retired from Rome Manufacturing in 1986, after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wicker Bradfield, in 1979, sisters, Opal Edward, Gladys Ott, brother, Dewey Bradfield.
Survivors include, daughter, Cynthia Diane (Leslie) Hamilton, Shannon; son, Glenn Norman (Deborah) Bradfield, Lakeland, FL; sister, Eunice Porkkola, brother, Dual Carver, grandchildren, Melissa Dawn Vincent, Mickey Andrew Hamilton, Jason Lewis Bradfield, and Jeffrey Michael Bradfield. 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. at Tuesday March , 3, 2015 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Billy Goolesby, and Jason Bradfield, officiating. Interment will follow in Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, GA. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen, Matthew Vincent, Brad Vincent, Tony Carver, Jeffrey Bradfield, Jason Bradfield, and Jordan Bradfield.
