Shelia Jean Bannister Carroll gained her angel wings Monday May 16, 2022, at the home of her parents John and Faye Bannister. Shelia was born November 1, 1966, in Rome, GA. She had a love for rocks, she could search for hours and bring some very cool rocks over to give to others and to see the beauty in them. She was a kind soul if she liked you; you knew it by actions. She loved being outside and helping everyone. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, brother in law: William "Bill" Peace, and Chip Carroll.
Survivors include her parents; son: Charles "Charlie" Carroll; her husband: Joseph "Joey" Boyd, stepson: Steven Boyd, Grandson: Hunter Osbourne, sister: Deborah (Jimmy) Poe, brother: Tommy (Heather)Bannister, sister: Kim (Manuel) Rodriguez and Sherry Peace. in laws: Thomas Marston, Chico, Timmy, Mark, and Ray Boyd; sister in laws: Martha Reese, Gay Wright, Joeline Henderson, and Tina Boyd, many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday May 19, 2022, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home with Jeff Hutchison officiating and Kim Rodriguez delivering eulogy. Interment will follow in Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service hour on Thursday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen: Tommy Bannister, Jimmy Poe, Manuel Rodriguez, Chico Boyd, Ray Boyd, and Brent Tucker. Honorary Pallbearers include Charlie Carroll, Hunter Osbourne, Chad Osbourne, Steven Boyd, and Jamie Poe.
