Mrs. Shirley Rogers McGill Goodson, age 83 of Cloudland, Ga. passed away Wednesday June 13, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Goodson, was born February 3, 1935, in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Harry Rogers, and Eunice Payne Rogers. She was a member of Chesterfield Baptist Church, a graduate of Coosa High School. Mrs. Goodson was retired from Best Glove Mill and Oak View Assisted Living. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Norman McGill and Ewing Goodson, brother, J.W. Rogers.
Survivors include her children, Timothy McGill, Cloudland; Lisa Baugh, Ft. Payne, Al; David Goodson, New Orleans; Mark Goodson, Menlo; Jan Goodson Rollins, Summerville; sister, Emalene Peck, Chattanooga; sister in laws, Rose Mary Rogers, Carrie Heard, brother in law, Tommy McGill, 7 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday June 18, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Bishop, officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the service on hour Monday, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Interment and Committal Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
