Shirley Ann Childers Shuker, age 83, of Rome passed away Saturday July 2, 2022.
Shirley was born on January 4, 1939 in Floyd County, GA. to the late Clyde O. Childers and Blanche Montgomery. She was a member and the chaplain of the American Legion. Shirley worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber in Pottstown, PA. for 20 years, then she earned her registered nurse degree from Montgomery County Community College and worked at Norristown State Hospital before retiring from Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital after 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her brother: Larry Childers.
Survivors include her children: Robert Michael Hug, Ryan T. Hug, and Michelle (Frank) Morgan; grandchildren: Michael Hug, Matthew Hug, Madison Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Nikita Marceau; great grandchild: Jaxon Morgan.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday July 7, 2022 at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
