Thelma Irene Criswell Eden, age 88 , of Rome passed away on her birthday Friday morning, June 12, 2015.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Eden was born June 12, 1926 . She was a woman of the Lord and a 35 year member of The Salvation Army and will be remembered as a great and loving mother, grandmother, and mother in law. Mrs. Eden operated Thelma's Curl Shop. She was preceded in death by a son Gerald Criswell and her husband Roger Eden.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law Kenny and Cathy Criswell; granddaughter Emily Criswell; a sister Louise Farmer and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Eden will be promoted to Glory at 12 Noon Monday, June 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue with Major Lloyd Kerns officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 11 A.M. until the service hour.
