Thomas Juds “Tommy” Bollen, age 84, of Rome passed away Saturday December 4, 2021. Tommy was born on March 26, 1937 in Rome GA., to the late Virgil Oscar Bollen, and Ida Mae Knight Bollen. He was the owner and operator of Bollen Sign Company. Tommy was a veteran of the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division. Tommy was a member of the American Legion Post 5 where he was the commander of the honor guard. Tommy was a member of the Nomad Freedom Seeker Motorcycle club Rome GA. He was preceded in death by his parenst; three brothers: Bobby Bollen, Robert Bollen, and Everett Bollen. Survivors include sons: Tommy Boyd (Melissa) Bollen, Tracy Virgil Bollen, and Todd Tyrone (Heather) Bollen; daughters: Michelle Bollen, and Lacie (Heather) Huffman; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters: Gervene Garrett, Neva Jean Kerce, Betty Ann (Jerry) Busby, and Booths (Buddy) Smith. Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday December 9, 2021 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with Rev. Les Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Thursday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165. Parnick Jennings Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
