Wesley Wayne Stewart , age 69 of Rome passed away Monday January 18, 2016
Mr. Stewart was born January 23, 1946 in Floyd County, a son of the Thomas Stewart and Eva Beard Stewart. He was a member of Shorter Avenue Baptist Church. Oostanaula Masonic Lodge #113 F &AM, Rome Shine Club. He was retired from Glen Eden Carpets.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Scoggins Stewart, sister, Jeannie (George) Brown, Dahlonega; special nieces, Tina Kelley, Kaci Scoggins, Kelli Scoggins, Savannah Kelley, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Monday January 25, 2016 at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church, with Rev. Skip Meyers and Rev. Larry Scoggins, officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until the funeral hour on Monday at the church.
Oostanaula Masonic Lodge #113 F&AM will conduct Masonic Rites.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the church by 3:00 P.M. on Monday, Mike Laney, Gene Scoggins, Waymon Scoggins, Gene Callan, Ross Freeman, and Tim Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Oostanaula Masonic Lodge #113 F&AM, Rome Shine Club.
