William Earl Jenkins

William Earl Jenkins, age 73, of Rome passed away Tuesday December 8, 2020 at a local hospital. William was born November 8, 1947 in Floyd County to the late Wilburn Earl Jenkins, Sr. and Martic Mablene Beam Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins retired from Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital. William was a member of Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church. He loved to swing on the front porch, woodworking, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Tammy Cross. Survivors include his wife: Myra Lindsey Jenkins, daughters: Marie (Gary) Bonds, and Pam Elam; son in law: Lee Cross; grandchildren: Christian, Krista, Alanna, Ansley, Taylor; 7 great grandchildren; brothers: Wilburn (Rita) Jenkins, Jr., David (Joann) Jenkins, Walter (Jenny) Jenkins; sisters: Nancy (Steve) Holbrook, Kay (Larry) Tucker; and his beloved dog: Xander. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday December 11, 2020 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home with Rev. Les Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Cedartown. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service hour on Friday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165. Pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Gary Bonds, Christian Jenkins, Lee Cross, Cody Holbrook, Lamar Garrett, Donnie Jenkins, Andrew Tucker, John Tucker. Parnick Jennings Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
