In Loving Memory of Aaron Harold Berry
July 22, 1954 – August 18, 2025
On Monday, August 18, 2025, in the quiet town of Shannon, Georgia, Aaron Harold Berry, seventy-one, laid down the weight of this earthly life. Born on July 22, 1954, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, to the late Aaron Victor Berry and Emily Ann Berry, he grew into a man whose life was strung together, note by note, like the songs he played on his guitar.
Aaron’s gift was in his hands, which drew music out of six strings until it became more than music. It became memory itself. He carried that same artistry into his sketchbooks, where he captured the likenesses of his family with gentle strokes, and where he turned his faith into lines and shades, creating religious illustrations that were as much prayers as they were pictures.
His days were not only filled with music and art but with laughter. Aaron had a gift for jokes, for easing a room with a well-placed quip, for making strangers into friends. He loved the open road, the hum of his motorcycle beneath him, often riding alongside his son, the two of them bound together by the rhythm of the road. And above all, Aaron loved his children and grandchildren; each of them the truest song his life ever wrote.
Aaron leaves behind his sons, Aaron Berry, Jr. and Jeremy Berry; his daughters, April Berry Wright, Alicia Berry, and Crystal Berry; his grandchildren, Preslie Renea Wright, Annabelle Rae Boyd, Caroline Rose Hubbard, Joleen Marie Boyd, Ozzy Alexander Hubbard, and Jagger Thomas Spohr. He is also survived by his brother, Ricky Berry; his sisters, Mary Jane Berry, Linda Hannah, Sally Harris, and June Berry; his nieces, Shelly, Shug, Brandy, Kim, Kelly, and Christy; and his nephews, Brad, Walter, Cory, Zack, Tyler, Chad, Jason, and Jacob.
We are currently working on arrangements and will publish as soon as they are finalized.
