Ada Towe Obituary
Mrs. Ada B. Pledger Towe, age 100, of Sherwood Forest passed away January 6, 2015 in a Rome Medical Center.
Mrs. Towe was born March 28, 1914 in Floyd County a daughter of the late William Bunyun Pledger and Saphronia House Pledger. She was a charter member of Calhoun Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School and W.M.U. teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Ben J. Towe who was founding pastor of Calhoun Avenue Baptist Church, a son in law, William "Bill" Riley, four brothers, and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Stafford, her husband, Harold, Conyers; Bernice Riley, Rome, five grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside and Interment services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday January 10, 2015 at East View Cemetery, with Rev. Bobby Stephens, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. on Saturday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, GA. 30165.
