In Loving Memory of Adam Lee Ploof

 September 27, 1990 – September 3, 2023

It is with heart-wrenching sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Mr. Adam Lee Ploof, 32 on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Adam was a cherished member of our community and a beloved son, brother, and uncle He was born to Penny Dawn Lingerfelt Ploof and the late Timmy Lee Ploof in Rome, Georgia on September 27, 1990. He will be greeted at the gates of heaven by his father.

Adam leaves behind his son, Spencer Ploof; his mother, Penny Ploof; his sisters, Jessica Smith Gunner (Gauge), and Mary Shiflett (Walker); his grandmother, Mary Fuller; and his girlfriend, Ashley McEachern.

A proud graduate of Armuchee High School, Adam's radiance was undeniable. His perpetual smile and infectious laughter brightened the lives of all who knew him. With a heart as vast as the universe, Adam had a natural gift for giving, often placing the needs of others before his own. 

Adam's youthful spirit and the joy he derived from simple pleasures made him the ultimate "big kid at heart." This playful nature was complemented by his sharp wit, which had an unmatched ability to elicit hearty laughter from those around him. Behind those jests and pranks, Adam had a deep well of care and affection, qualities that endeared him to friends and family alike.

An avid enthusiast of crime TV shows, Adam often playfully touted himself as an "armchair detective," a title that reflected his unique blend of curiosity and humor. 

To his nieces and nephews, Adam was more than an uncle; he was a confidant, playmate, and protector. His bond with them was proof of the pure and unconditional love he carried in his heart.

As we bid farewell to Adam, we hold tight to the countless memories he has left behind. His spirit will forever be a beacon of love, kindness, and laughter in our hearts.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time, and welcome friends and family to partake in a celebration of Adam’s life on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel located at 2750 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30165.
