Alma Delia Zamudio Rodriguez

Dicen que los que se van no se alejan mucho. Permanecen en los rincones tranquilos de la casa, en el aroma de la tierra removida por manos amorosas, en la música que sigue resonando mucho después de que la última nota se desvanezca. Y así es con Alma Delia Zamudio Rodríguez, de Rome, Georgia, quien partió de este mundo el jueves 9 de abril de 2026, a la edad de cincuenta y siete años.

Nació el 18 de diciembre de 1968 en Cuitzeo, Michoacán, México, donde la tierra es cálida y generosa, y tal vez fue allí donde aprendió por primera vez a cuidar de la vida con paciencia, con esmero, con manos que sabían hacer crecer las cosas.

Alma llevó ese saber consigo allá donde fuera. Trabajaba duro, no por el reconocimiento, sino porque era simplemente su forma de moverse por el mundo. Había en ella una bondad silenciosa, de esas que no se anuncian, sino que permanecen como la sombra en un día caluroso, como una silla acercada a la mesa.

Le encantaban las reuniones, no por el ruido, sino por la cercanía de la gente. Amaba la música, la forma en que esta podía decir lo que las palabras no podían. Le encantaban las plantas y los jardines, y los cuidaba como si ellos también pudieran sentir su presencia, y tal vez así fuera. Los niños se sentían atraídos por ella, como lo están por quienes llevan la dulzura en su espíritu.

Deja atrás a su amado esposo, Ramón Guzmán, y a su hijo, Jerry Fabián Guzmán Zamudio, quienes la recordarán no solo en su memoria, sino en las pequeñas cosas vivas que ella tocó y dejó tras de sí. También le sobreviven sus hermanos, Mario, Gerardo, Marco Antonio y Reynaldo; y sus hermanas, Lorena, Yolanda, Maricela, Micaela y Delman.

Ahora se reúne con sus padres, Antonio Zamudio y Adela Rodríguez, en ese lugar tranquilo donde todos los caminos acaban por encontrarse.

Quienes deseen encontrarla solo tienen que escuchar el viento moviendo las hojas, el eco de las risas en una reunión, el silencio de un jardín al atardecer. Ella está allí.

Se invita a familiares y amigos a reunirse en su memoria en el velatorio, que se celebrará en la funeraria Good Shepherd el sábado 11 de abril de 2026, de 3:00PM a 9:00PM. La Misa Funeral para honrar su vida tendrá lugar en la iglesia católica de Santa María el lunes 13 de abril de 2026 a la 1:30PM y de ahi partimos a su entierro en el Cementerio Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

In Loving Memory of Alma Delia Zamudio Rodriguez

They say those who leave us never truly go far. They remain in the quiet corners of the home, in the scent of earth turned by loving hands, in the music that continues to echo long after the final note fades. And so it is with Alma Delia Zamudio Rodriguez, of Rome, Georgia, who departed this world on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of fifty-seven.

She was born on December 18, 1968, in Cuitzeo, Michoacán, Mexico, where the land is warm and generous, and perhaps it was there that she first learned how to care for life with patience, with devotion, with hands that knew how to help things grow.

Alma carried that wisdom with her wherever she went. She worked hard, not for recognition, but because it was simply the way she moved through the world. There was in her a quiet kindness, the kind that does not announce itself, but remains like shade on a hot day, like a chair gently pulled closer to the table.

She loved gatherings, not for the noise, but for the closeness of people. She loved music, the way it could say what words could not. She loved plants and gardens, caring for them as though they too could feel her presence—and perhaps they could. Children were naturally drawn to her, as they are to those who carry sweetness in their spirit.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Ramon Guzman, and her son, Jerry Fabian Guzman Zamudio, who will remember her not only in memory, but in the small living things she touched and left behind. She is also survived by her brothers, Mario, Gerardo, Marco Antonio, and Reynaldo; and her sisters, Lorena, Yolanda, Maricela, Micaela, and Delman.

She now reunites with her parents, Antonio Zamudio and Adela Rodriguez, in that peaceful place where all paths eventually meet.

Those who wish to find her need only listen to the wind moving through the leaves, the echo of laughter at a gathering, the stillness of a garden at dusk. She is there.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her memory at the visitation, which will be held at Good Shepherd Funeral Home on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The Funeral Mass to honor her life will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 1:30 PM, followed by interment at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
