In Loving Memory of Ava Gail Edwards Jacobs

Ava Gail Edwards Jacobs, age 71, peacefully departed this life on Monday, May 13, 2024, in Rome, Georgia. Ava was born on August 24, 1952, to the late Linton Teasly “LT” Edwards and the late Ozelle Roberson Edwards.

Ava is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Douglas Jacobs; her cherished daughter, Tiffany Abercrombie; her treasured grandson, Athanasius Abercrombie; and her brother, Alan Clark Edwards.

Leaving behind a legacy of love and family, she is survived by her devoted son, James H. Jacobs, II, and her darling grandchildren, Alex Abercrombie and Adam Albercrombie.

Ava was a proud graduate of Model High School and dedicated her career to the textiles industry, working at Shaw Industries. She was a long-time resident of the picturesque Dykes Creek Community in Rome, Georgia, where she found joy and contentment.

A graveside service to honor Ava’s life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Mizpah Cemetery. The family will share heartfelt words in remembrance. James H. Jacobs, II, Alex Abercrombie, Aden Abercrombie, Jeff Abercrombie, Nick Camp, and George Schroeder will be pallbearers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home, ensuring that Ava is laid to rest with the utmost care and respect.
