Betty Sophronia Brown, 74, born in Calhoun, Georgia, gained her wings and left her earthly home peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Betty was born on March 06, 1948, to the late Reverend John Henry Adams and Cecilia Inez “Tommie” Adams.
Betty was the rock in her family, a mother and father figure for her daughters, her grandkids and great grandchildren, they were her life! She loved and was loved by everyone! Betty also loved the beach specially Tybee Island, she loved music and listening to old records.
Betty was very committed to her calling, she was a drug abuse counselor most of her life and worked many years at Wayside in Cedartown, then went to work for the state taking care of mentally handicapped adults.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Eddie Adams, Ronnie Adams, Chester Adams, Lewis Adams, her sisters, Barbara A. Broadrick, Pat A. Payton and Mary Bray. Survivors include her son, Steve Paris, her daughters, Starlena Lorraine Crone, Autumn Kashea Brown and Temela Lorrett Wheeler, her grandchildren, Trey Crone III, Tybee Storm Burt, Tory Del Rogers-Wheeler, Cody Sophronia Burt, her brother, James Adams and her sister Lillie Shepard and great grandchildren, Tristan Weeks, Kristan Weeks, Linleigh and Lawson Shuler.
The family has chosen cremation and will be having a memorial service at a later date.
