Mrs. Betty Jean Muncher Caldwell, age 82, of Plainville, passed away Thursday August 14, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Caldwell was born June 20, 1932, in Plainville, the daughter of the late Charlie Muncher, and Mary Lou Butler Muncher. She was a member of Plainville Unity Baptist Church. Mrs. Caldwell was retired from Gordon County School System, as a School Bus Driver and a Custodian after over 30 years of service. She was preceded in death great granddaughter, Faith Byars, brothers, Emory Muncher, Charles Muncher, Frank Muncher, sisters, Mildred Travers, Catherine Hobgood, Maude Mitchell, and Frances Nelson, and by her lifelong friend, June McEntire.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Caldwell, Son, Carman (Angie) Caldwell, Adairsville; daughters, Tena Byars, Plainville; Tambi (Danny) York, Plainville; Bambi (Woody) Wyatt, Armuchee; brother, B.W. (Betty Ann) Muncher, Fayetteville; sister in law, Elise Muncher, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Sunday at Plainville Unity Baptist Church, with Rev. Billy Murdock, officiating. Interment will follow in Scott Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the church on Sunday.
Pallbearer include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the church by 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Adam York, Jessie Byars, Camron Caldwell, Stan Wyatt, Trevor McEntire, Terry Grisham, Garrett Thompson, and Demetri York.
