Mrs. Beverly Jo Adams, age 81, of Centre, Alabama, lovingly known by many as Bebe, Bev, MawMaw, and Mama Jo, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Rome, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 28, 1944, in Rome, Georgia. She grew up in Shannon, Georgia, where she attended and graduated from Model High School and proudly served as a talented majorette.
Beverly and her husband, Tony, enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and going to casinos. They lived in Acworth for many years before eventually moving to Centre, Alabama, after his retirement, where they enjoyed many wonderful years together.
Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who gave the very best hugs and loved with her whole heart. She never met a stranger and had a special way of making everyone feel welcome. She was known for her generosity and never let anyone go without. Those who knew her best will remember her for being particular in the best ways, always doing things just so, with care and purpose. She was wise, knowledgeable, and blessed with an incredible memory.
Beverly will be deeply missed and forever loved, but her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband, Tony Adams, affectionately known as PawPaw or Papa T.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Adams and his wife Delbra of Sand Rock, Alabama and Andee Adams and his wife Andrea of Adairsville, Georgia; her daughters, Annissa Clark and her husband Edward of Rydal, Georgia, and Tona Goldman and her husband Scott Goldman of Adairsville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Cody Adams (Anna), Corey Adams (Mandy), Lynsie Cason (Chris), Taylor Clark McClure (Drew), Nicholas Clark (Crystal), Carl Clark (Breanna), Chassie Montagne (Rickey), Tyler Goldman (Brittany), Colby Adams, Chase Adams, and Brody Adams; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Andres Adams, whom she married on August 5, 1966; her parents, Walter and Ruth Kilby; her sister, Marilyn Kilby Turner; and her granddaughter, Victoria “Elizabeth” Jones.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. for friends. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at East View Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Cody Adams, Corey Adams, Nicholas Clark, Carl Clark, Drew McClure, and Chris Cason.
