Brandon Isham Obituary

In Loving Memory of Brandon Lee Kyle Isham

November 07, 1992 – April 18, 2025

On the quiet hush of a Friday in spring, April 18, 2025, Brandon Lee Kyle Isham, a beloved son of Rome, Georgia, laid down the weight of this world and journeyed home at the age of thirty-two. Born on November 07, 1992, Brandon was the kind of man whose name, once spoken, lingered in the air; full of warmth, familiar strength, and a touch of laughter that could break the stillness of any room.

He was the son of Harold and Tonya Isham, raised on Southern soil and rooted in the love of family and the teachings of faith. His heart belonged to Emmanuel Baptist Church, a place that witnessed both his boyhood wonder and his manhood resolve. Brandon was a man of deep affections and simple joys. He loved fishing like a prayer, casting his line into the still waters as though in conversation with God. He loved football, basketball, and baseball with the vigor of a man who understood that life, like sports, demands endurance, teamwork, and the courage to rise again after the fall.

In his craft, he was gifted. Brandon was a master welder: a man who could bend fire and metal to his will, whose hands bore the callouses of honest labor and the pride of purpose. He was not just a worker but an artisan, fusing strength with precision, work with art. And in his personal life, Brandon was much the same; quiet, steadfast, loyal to the last breath.

To know Brandon was to know a man who loved with his whole being. He loved his family; his mother and father, who were his first home; his brother, Bobby, with whom he shared the language of boyhood and blood; his nieces and nephews, Gracie, Zoey, Jase, and Harrison, who brought the brightness of the next generation to his days. But above all, Brandon loved his son, Grayson Andrew Isham. His love for Grayson was not a quiet thing, for it was fierce, proud, protective. In his son, Brandon saw his future, his legacy, his reason.

Brandon’s life was not long, but it was deep. It was stitched together by moments that mattered; like laughter shared beneath Georgia skies, long talks with his brother, fish pulled from riversides, Friday night games under the lights, quiet prayers, and rough hands holding tiny fingers.

Services to honor this beloved soul will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1414 Old Dalton Road NE in Rome, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, with funeral services to follow promptly at 2:00 PM. Jason Cowart and Robert Vines, who knew the fiber of Brandon’s faith, will officiate and eulogize.

Brandon’s earthly vessel will be laid to rest in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens  On April 28 , 2025  11AM Graveside. There, beneath the Southern sky, among the saints and soil of his homeland, his shell shall rest. Serving as pallbearers and bearing him home with reverence and memory are Devin Hamby, Tyler Agan, Noah Cowart, Matthew Cowart, Taylor Massey, and TJ Hand, with his brother, Bobby Isham, standing as honorary pallbearer.

Though he has departed from our sight, Brandon lives on in the wide smile of his son, the echo of his laughter in the hearts of his kin, and the deep, still places where love never dies. He has risen now, into the arms of the God who formed him, and who knows his name.

And so we close this tribute not in sorrow, but in sacred remembrance, with the words of Margaret Walker from October Journey:

“This is my season of praise and pride,

My springtime and my summer’s end,

My birth and death, my friend and bride.

This is the world’s November stand.

Give me this with all its changing face,

Its shadowed heart and weathered grace.”

Let this be Brandon's season, etched in memory, sealed in love, and lifted up in the arms of eternal grace.
