Brett Eric Godwin

Mr. Brett Eric Godwin, age 64 of Rome passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Advent Health Redmond after several months of declining health.

Brett was born in Rome, GA on May 4, 1959 to the late Orval and Dorothy Adams Godwin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Barry Godwin and nephew, Jayson Selman.

Brett was employed by Lockheed Martin for several years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country. Brett loved photography and riding his bike.

Brett is survived by his uncle Edward Selman and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his sweet pug Ptolemy.

Services for Brett Eric Godwin will be held on Wednesday, December 27th at 2:00PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, Rome, GA. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Military honors by American Legion Shanklin-Attaway Post 5.
