In Loving Memory of Bryant Fillmore Snow
March 21, 1945 – September 28, 2024
Bryant Fillmore Snow, age 80, of Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Born on March 21, 1945, Bryant was the beloved son of the late Alver Fillmore Snow and Ruby Mae Tankersly Snow. Known for his kind heart, deep faith, and love of life’s simple pleasures, Bryant leaves behind a legacy of warmth and connection with all who knew him.
Bryant was a man whose heart was as big as the open seas he admired. His love for sailboats was not just a hobby, but a reflection of his deep love of freedom, tranquility, and the adventure that comes with the wind at your back. He was equally devoted to his love of music, finding peace and joy in the timeless ballads of Jim Reeves, whose songs were often the soundtrack to his quiet moments. Bryant also found comfort in the classic tales of the Old West, frequently losing himself in westerns that reminded him of values he held dear—courage, loyalty, and honor.
Above all, Bryant’s faith in God was central to his life. He was a devout believer who loved attending church, where he found both community and spiritual nourishment. His unwavering faith and kind spirit ensured that he never met a stranger—Bryant had a natural gift for making anyone feel welcome and seen, whether they were a lifelong friend or someone he had just met.
Throughout his life, Bryant took pride in his work, whether it was his contributions to the Darlington School community, or his time spent working at Taco Bell. In every job, no matter how big or small, Bryant’s dedication and humility shone through. He believed in the value of hard work and found joy in every task he undertook.
Bryant is survived by his nephew, Roy Hovers, his brother, Jerry Snow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bryant is predeceased by his brothers, Lamar Snow and James Snow, and his sister, Hazel Wigley. Though his family will deeply miss him, they take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his loved ones in heaven.
A celebration of Bryant’s life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home chapel, located at 2750 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30165. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Jeff Massey will officiate the service, honoring the life of a man who lived with quiet strength, deep faith, and abundant kindness.
Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family extends its deepest gratitude to those who have supported them during this time, and they invite all who knew Bryant to join in remembering a life well-lived and well-loved.
