Carl Griffin Momon

Carl Griffin Momon, age 86 of Rome passed away Thursday, July 28,2022, at home. Carl was born on September 14, 1935 in Floyd County to the late William (Bill) Momon and Gertrude Allred Momon. Carl was owner of Momon Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Steve Momon and a great grandaughter, Madisan Brownlow, two brothers, Lamar and Leonard Momon, two sisters, Inez Howell and Frances Gilreath.
Survivors include his wife the former Mary Jo Sprayberry, daughter Teresa Brownlow (Donnie), sons Tim Momon (Beth), Bruce Momon (Stacy). Six grandchildren, Jaymie Brownlow (Laura), Lisa Brownlow, Brandon Momon (Paula), Bryce Momon, Zack Momon and Clay Momon (Holly)and a brother Sid Momon (Edna). Five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Norman Pace and Will Brownlow.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 1 pm in the chapel at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the service hour. Interment will follow at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
