Carl Dean Smith, age 65, passed away on June 17, 2026, in Rome, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis M. Smith of Natchez, Mississippi, his mother, Elizabeth Smith of Centre, Alabama and brother Andy of Centre, Al.

Carl is survived by his son, Corey Smith; his brother, Edward Smith; his sister, Kelly Smith; a close friend who was like a brother, Jeff Towe, and Jeff’s family who were all very special to Carl Dean, nieces Hailey and Mallory Stephens, cousins and many friends.

Carl dean was an electrician and had a passion for rock n roll and classic cars. He enjoyed playing guitar and created many memories with family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family invites anyone who knew Carl Dean to share stories, memories, and photographs. Your recollections will help preserve his legacy and bring comfort to those who loved him during this difficult time.
