Carlisle Rumphol Obituary

In Loving Memory of Carlisle Matthias Rumphol

Born Sleeping on February 25, 2024
6 pounds 7 ounces, 18 inches long

Some only dream of Angels…
We held one in our arms.

On February 25, 2024, on the quietest of whispers, the world was graced with the silent arrival of Carlisle Matthias Rumphol in Floyd County, Georgia. Born sleeping into the loving arms of Matthias Jay Rumphol and Chelsie Lauren Rumphol, Carlisle's brief journey on this earth was marked by a profound love that transcended the bounds of time and the physical world.

Though his feet never walked the earth, Carlisle's gentle presence was a beacon of love that touched the hearts of all who awaited his arrival. He was lovingly cradled into a family that had prepared a lifetime of love for him, leaving an indelible mark that will forever resonate in their hearts.

Carlisle's journey was met with tender anticipation by his adoring sisters, Lyla, Victoria, and Willow Rumphol, who dreamed of the days filled with laughter and play that awaited them. He was a cherished grandson to Barry and Stephanie McCullough and Dan and Suzanne Rumphol, enveloped in love by his great-grandparents Bonnie and Stanley Rumphol, Lynnette Gordy, and Jimmy Smith. Carlisle's memory will also be held in the loving embrace of his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, who feel the weight of his absence yet celebrate the brief moment they were adorned with his presence.

Though preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Carl McCullough, Betty McCullough, Wayne Gordy, and Betty Smith, Carlisle's spirit reunites with them in a realm where love knows no limits.

A service to honor the profound impact of Carlisle's fleeting yet meaningful life will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Riverside Baptist Church, located at 48 Ash St NE, Rome, GA 30161. The visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Carlisle will be tenderly laid to rest at East View Cemetery, 725 Kingston Ave NE, Rome, GA 30161, where the echoes of a deep, pure love will resonate. Reverend Barry McCullough, Carlisle's grandfather, will officiate, offering words of comfort and hope to those whose lives Carlisle touched, however briefly.

In the heartache of Carlisle's absence, we find bittersweet comfort in the memories of anticipation, the dreams we dared to dream of, and the angel we were privileged to hold in our arms.

Carlisle Matthias Rumphol, a precious soul born into sleep, leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever whisper through the leaves, dance in the sunlight, and shine in the stars above, reminding us that some only dream of angels. Still, we had the honor to hold one in our arms.

Entrusted to Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home, the arrangements for Carlisle are made with a gentle touch, reflecting the tenderness of a life that, though not fully lived, was fully loved.
