Sunrise: February 28, 1943 ~ Sunset: October 5, 2023
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Carolyn Jeannette Clark Venable on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Born to Harley and Emma Clark on February 28, 1943, Carolyn lived a life filled with love, tenacity, and an unwavering spirit.
A proud graduate of Model High School, class of 1961, Carolyn made her mark in the carpet and textile industry before retiring, touching the lives of her colleagues with her strong work ethic and vibrant personality.
Despite the many challenges she faced, including battling cancer twice, Carolyn remained a beacon of strength and determination. Those who knew her admired the fierce love she had for her family, her dominant personality, and her incredible resilience. The void left by her departure is vast, but the memories she leaves behind will forever be cherished.
She now joins in eternal rest her parents, Harley and Emma Clark; son, Tony McFarland; sister, Barbara Green; brothers, Sherman and Howard Clark; nephew, Scotty Clark; and great-niece, Ava Freeman.
Her legacy continues through her daughters, Tonya Joseph and Dana Perez; grandchildren, Emma Joseph (Noah Labier), Sophie Joseph (Evan Kimbel), and Justin Perez. Additionally, her memories will be upheld by her sister-in-law, Betty Jean Clark, brothers, Ronnie Clark (Dana) and David Clark (Judy), as well as numerous nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A special place in Carolyn's heart was reserved for Greg and Bobbe Hall, Darryl Sims, Jean Salmon, Jeff Ratliff (her cherished pharmacist), Ralph Jenkins, Dr. Khan, and Dr. Mumber. They held exceptional meaning to her, and she wanted to express her deepest gratitude for their unwavering support.
In remembrance of Carolyn's heart and spirit, and in honor of her son, Tony, we kindly ask that instead of flowers, contributions be made to the Scottish Rite Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta:
