Charles Robert Henson

In Loving Memory of Charles Robert Henson July 31, 1960 – May 23, 2024. 

Charles Robert “Chuck” Henson passed away May 23, 2024. Chuck was born in Rome on July 31, 1960 to the late Francis Bartow Henson and the late Margaret Elizabeth Henson. He attended West Rome High School and some secondary education at Chattahoochee Technical College.

   Chuck is survived by his sister Jelene Berry King (Marty King), his two sons Charles Jason Henson (Mandy Henson) and Trevor Edward Henson, three grandchildren Evan Cole Henson, Bayley Elisabeth King, and Bentley Henson.

   Chuck was a true outdoorsman; he was at home in the woods or on the water. He loved to hunt and fish; countless hours were spent sharing that passion for the outdoors with his sons! He also prided himself in being an excellent marksman and a great boat mechanic. He worked for Bekaert Corporation for 18 years and spent the years before his retirement as a Union Millwright. 

Per Chuck’s wishes he was cremated and there will be visitation from 3-4:30pm Friday May 31st at Parnick Jennings Good Shepard Funeral Home with a short service to follow from 4:30 – 5:00 pm. Chuck’s remains will be spread by his sons at a location he requested.
