Charles Henry Jacobs, age 80, of Centre, Alabama, passed away on February 4, 2026.

Charles lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and the simple joys that brought him peace. He loved fishing, trapping, and spending time outdoors. He loved going to church with his Brother in faith Pastor Autry Barnhill. Some of his favorite moments were those shared with close friends, especially Doc Hatfield, Marvin Clay, and Rena Jacobs. Above all, Charles cherished time with his family and took great pride in his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille Jacobs and Jack Jacobs and his sister, Wanda Devore.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Jacobs; his son, James C. Jacobs; his daughter, Paula Dockery; and his grandchildren, McKenzie Jacobs, Lyndsey Jacobs, Joey Dockery, and Eric Dockery. Also survived by his siblings Jackie Jacobs, Faye Callahan and Ray Jacobs

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Autry Barnhill officiating. Interment will follow at Kingston City Cemetery.

Charles will be remembered as a man who appreciated life’s quiet moments, valued his loved ones deeply, and found happiness in the outdoors and the company of those closest to him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
