In Loving Memory of Cynthia Ann Farlow
January 13, 1963 – October 24, 2024
With heavy hearts and fond memories, we honor the life of Cynthia Ann Farlow, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who brought joy and kindness to all who knew her. Cynthia passed on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the age of 61, in Rome, Georgia. Born on January 13, 1963, to the late Lewis and Ruby Martin, Cynthia was raised in a close-knit family where she cultivated the enduring values of love, warmth, and resilience.
In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark Farlow, and her brother, Jimmy Martin. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughters, Nucoma Shelnut and Sharleigh Watkins, who carry forward her spirit and wisdom. Cynthia was the proud grandmother of her four beautiful grandchildren, Akira, Amaris, Bryson, and Alyssa. Cynthia is also survived by her cherished brother, David Martin and her sister, Diane Johnson, with whom she shared a bond that could never be broken.
Her grandbabies were her greatest pride and joy. Her family was her heart, and she showered each of them with unwavering love, always placing their happiness above her own.
Known for her vivacious spirit, Cynthia embraced life with warmth and generosity. She was a talented cook whose kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of her favorite dishes, lovingly prepared for family gatherings and friends. To be at Cynthia's table was to experience not only delicious food but also her open heart and infectious laughter. Her love for her family and friends was boundless, and her home was a welcoming haven where stories, laughter, and support were always in abundance.
In a special tribute, Cynthia’s sister Diane shares these heartfelt words: “Cynthia, if you’re looking down from heaven, just know I love you so much.”
The family has entrusted Good Shepherd Funeral Home with the arrangements, and they are working diligently to finalize the details of the services that will celebrate Cynthia’s remarkable life.
As we remember Cynthia, may we carry forward her spirit of love, joy, and compassion, keeping her memory alive in our hearts forever.
