With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cynthia Diane Eason Ferguson, aged 59, on Friday, January 5, 2024. A lifelong resident of Rome, Georgia, she was born to the late Lenice and Patricia Kelly Eason on June 4, 1964.
Cynthia's journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family, her deep faith, and her innate ability to bring joy and comfort to those around her.
In addition to her parents, Cynthia is predeceased by her brothers, Terry and Jimmy Eason. Cynthia's legacy of love and strength lives on through her beloved husband, Danny Ferguson; her daughters, Heather Chunara, Holly Ferguson, Brittany Ferguson, and Christy Ferguson; her 13 grandchildren, Dalton Chunara, Ali Chunara, Saif Chunara, Kais Chunara, Zayn Chunara, Daylin Johnson, Darrion Johnson, Madyson Johnson, DJ Johnson, Blake Hatch, Ryder Hatch, Sailor Dunn, and Skylyn Dunn; and her sister Tammy Jones.
Cynthia was a beacon of love and faith, embodying the teachings of Christ in her daily life. She chose the noble path of a homemaker, dedicating herself to nurturing and supporting her family at every turn. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and her home was a haven of warmth, delicious food, and laughter. Family gatherings, enhanced by her presence and love, were occasions of pure joy and togetherness.
Her grandchildren were the jewels in her crown, each new birth bringing her immeasurable happiness. Cynthia's capacity for empathy made her a pillar of strength and support in both joyous and challenging times. A passionate Georgia Bulldogs fan, her spirit and enthusiasm were infectious.
Cynthia's absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Yet, the love she instilled in her family is her everlasting gift, a guiding light that will continue to unite and strengthen them in her absence. Her life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family.
