Danny Moulton Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Danny Foster Moulton

September 24, 1947 - February 12, 2025

Danny Foster Moulton departed from our midst on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the venerable age of 77. Born on a crisp autumn day, September 24, 1947, in the storied town of Dalton, Georgia, he emerged into a world brimming with both promise and wonder.

Danny’s journey through life was marked by steadfast devotion and a passion for both duty and delight. A proud graduate of West Rome High School, he later donned the mantle of service in the United States Air Force, where, from 1965 to 1971, he served as a ground radio operator. His later years saw him contributing his skilled hands and steadfast heart as a pipe fitter at International Paper, where his efforts were as reliable as the turning of the seasons.

In the realm of his personal life, Danny found his truest companion in Debbie Kerce Moulton, the radiant love of his life, with whom he shared countless moments of joy and quiet strength. His family, the very embodiment of his legacy, includes his cherished stepson, Ben Norton, his daughter-in-law Amy (Jeremy) Moulton and his former daughter-in-law Sheryl Sims (Ben) Norton and his treasured grandchildren, Reagan Norton, Dylan Moulton, and Gavin Moulton. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeremy Moulton, as well as by his dear sisters-in-law, Rhonda Copland and Darlene Shepherd.

Danny was an avid sports man, enjoying watching and participating, his heart beat in time with the triumphs and trials of his favorite teams: the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. Each game was a reminder of his deep-seated passion for the communal joy of athletic endeavor.

In honor of his remarkable journey, services celebrating his life shall be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home chapel. The visitation will commence at 12:00 PM, leading into the funeral service at 2:00 PM, with a subsequent graveside rite at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, all under the gentle guidance of Pastor Dale Byers.

Thus, as we bid farewell to a soul whose life was a blend of quiet courage and spirited zest, we remember Danny Foster Moulton not merely for the days counted in his years, but for the enduring legacy of love, service, and passion that shall echo in the hearts of those he touched.

Good Shepherd Funeral Home is proud to have been entrusted with the noble task of arranging these commemorative proceedings.
