In Loving Memory of David Raymond Haggard
August 5, 1959 – July 22, 2023
David Raymond Haggard, a man of many talents and immeasurable dedication, passed away peacefully in Adairsville, Georgia on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the age of 63.
David was born to the late Grover Cleveland Haggard, Sr., and Shirley Kell Haggard. He was the beloved husband of the late Sheree Lynn Haggard, with whom he shared many cherished years. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Haggard, his uncle Lewis Haggard, and his grandparents, Willard and Leila Stephens.
David was a devoted partner to his fiancé Tina Roberson, who will greatly miss his spirit, love, and companionship. He was a proud father of three daughters, Toni Haggard, Angelina DiMauro, and Gina DiMauro, and a loving grandfather to Anthony and River Thompson, and Brianna and Benjamin Turner. David also leaves behind his sisters, Penny Clifton and Pam (James) Hinkley, and one brother, Tony Haggard. David also leaves behind five nieces, four nephews, eight great nieces, six great nephews and several great, great nieces and nephews.
David served his country proudly in the United States Army for six years. After his military service, he found his professional calling as an HVAC technician, working with Post Properties from 1988 to 2002. Thereafter, David pursued his entrepreneurial spirit and became self-employed, providing his services throughout his community.
A man of the Baptist faith, David embodied the values of service, devotion, and kindness. He was a jack-of-all-trades and had a natural talent for tinkering with almost anything he could get his hands on, a testament to his curious nature and drive to understand the world around him. This knack for mechanics was matched only by his gift for playing the harmonica, a passion he loved to share with his loved ones.
A formidable competitor, David had a deep love for playing darts, a pastime that brought him great joy and allowed him to connect with others. He was known for his keen eye and precision, qualities that translated into every area of his life.
The family will hold a visitation for David on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 6:00PM - 8:PM, at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel located at 2750 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30165.
