Debra Raburn

Debra Elaine Raburn, quietly passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.  She was born to Stanley and Delores Morgan on November 4, 1955, in Rome, Georgia.

Debra is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Delores Morgan, her sisters, Melissa White, and Angie Morgan. She leaves behind her beloved son John Waits (Krystal), her cherished grandchildren, Shelby Waits, Drew Waits, Seth Brock, and Beth Brock, her brothers, Ken Morgan and James Morgan, and her sister, Tina Salter.

Debra delighted in working with people and was a natural as she assisted customers during the many years she worked at the East Rome Krystal. She enjoyed the quiet peace of nature, and she had a deep abiding love for music. Debra was brilliant at crossword puzzles and could never pass up solving every single one she came across. She found solace in cooking and reveled in having her friends and family rave about the dishes she created. Her best four-legged pal was her cherished dog Smokey. Debra treasured every moment she got to spend with her grandchildren, and they were truly the apple of her eye. Debra will be most exceedingly longed for by all who knew and loved her.

The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 6 PM until 8 PM
