Ms. Dianna Jean Ely aged 69 of Rome Georgia passed away at her home surrounded by family on January 3rd, 2024.
Dianna was born Dianna Jean Floyd on January 9th, 1954, to Mr. Charles Eugene Floyd and Ms. Mary Louise Brasher Floyd. She was of the Christian faith and during her lifetime she enjoyed attending church services whenever she was able to go. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved her family unconditionally. She was a very well-loved member of the community. Dianna spent her life ministering to others, and sharing her love for Jesus Christ as she went.
Ms. Ely is preceded by both of her parents Gene Floyd and Mary Wallace as well as her stepfather Mr. Leon Barbee, Two spouses Mr. Robert Yernest Sr., and Mr., Tommy Ely. Her son Mr., Robert Yernest Jr, a brother Mr. Donald Wallace, and a stepson Mr. Shane Roden.
She is survived by two Daughters Mrs. April Yernest (Billy) and Mrs. Candace Hunter (Jimmy). 9 grandchildren Dianna Parker, Stephen Martin, Tim Turnipseed, Mary Williams, Carlie Stanley, Brianna Sanders, Gabriel Ely, Mattheiu Crowe, Noah Hunter and her daughter-in-law Michelle Yernest, as well as 22 great grandchildren.
The celebration of life service will be held at Parkview Baptist Church Saturday January 6th, 2024, friends and family will begin at 11am until the start of the service at 1pm with Pastor Greg Hood and eulogist Ms. Amy Crowe officiating. Intermittent will be concluded on Monday January 8th, 2024, with the immediate family at 11am at Sunset hill Memory Gardens in Rome Georgia.
Pallbearers include Mr. Josh Ely, Mr. Josh Crowe, Mr. Timothy Turnipseed, Mr. Charlie Parker, Mr. Wesley Parsons, Thomas Matthews, Jr. and Mr. Conrad Walters. Honorary pallbearers include Mr. David Gibson, Mr. Tommy Ray and Mr. William Savage.
