Mr. Donald G. Lovell, affectionately known as "Don” to his family and friends, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Advent/Redmond Regional Hospital in Silver Creek at the age of 62.
Born on March 24, 1963, in Valdosta, Georgia, Don was lovingly adopted in the fall of 1963 by Harry G. Lovell and Ethel L. Lovell, who provided him with a nurturing and caring home in Silver Creek, Georgia. Don's life was evidence of the love and support of his family.
A pivotal moment in Don's life was at the age of 13, when he committed his life to Christ at Missionary Alliance. This commitment shaped his life and guided his actions, making him a source of strength and inspiration to those around him.
Don was predeceased by his father, Harry G. Lovell. His legacy and memories are cherished by his surviving family members, including his mother, Ethel L. Lovell, his uncle, Jack Lovell, his aunt, Sarah Frances Bowman, and several cousins. Each family member holds dear the unique bond they shared with Don.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral or graveside services, as Don is to be cremated. His urn will be lovingly placed between his two great-grandparents in the cemetery of New Vision Church, symbolizing his return to his family roots and the eternal embrace of his loved ones.
Don's life was a journey of faith, love, and family. His memory will be eternally treasured by those who knew him, and his spirit will continue to live in the hearts of his loved ones.
Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
