It is with great sorrow that we mourn the passing of Edna Lee Momon, age 93 of Rome who went to join the Lord on November 28, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Rome, Georgia
on August 11, 1930.

She attended Coosa Schools. Edna was cherished by many, including her husband, William Sidney Momon, to whom she was married on December 27, 1947. Edna passed a month shy of their 76th Wedding Anniversary. She was also cherished by their two children, Bobby Momon and Ann (Billy) Daniel, Grandchildren Starla (Chip) Smith, Shay (Amber) Momon, Alley Callan, Lynn Daniel, and Kate (Christian) Terry, Great Grandchildren, Shaylin, Kaydence, and Colten Momon, Ansley and Knox Callan, Jenna (Jack) Moore, Emily Smith, Emma and Callie Terry, and Great-Great Grandson, Jaxson Moore.

To family she was known as “Granny” and to friends she was known as “Granny Momon.” Edna’s life was defined by love, family, faith, and joy. We lost a radiant soul. Her absence will leave many with a void that is irreplaceable, but her memory will continue to live on.
At a young age she worked at Pepperell Mill and Wisman Bakery. She was a member of Prospect Homemakers Club. She served the community baking, with craft projects, and used her compassionate nature visiting the homebound. Edna devoted her time to the service of the Lord. She enjoyed working Vacation Bible School and using her talents singing in the church choir. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. We lost a radiant soul.

Edna Momon was preceded in death by her mother and father, Velma Lee Keith Brownlow and Gordon Lee Brownlow, brothers Gene Brownlow and Robert Brownlow. She is survived by her
husband William Sidney Momon, brother Ernest Brownlow, and sister Shirley Evans, Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandson.
