Elizabeth Marie Terry

Elizabeth Marie Terry, age 70, passed away on February 12, 2025, in Rome, GA.

Elizabeth was born on August 14, 1954, at Martin Army Hospital in Columbus, Georgia to her parents Fredrick Michael and Betty Lou Bitner.

She graduated from Baker High School in Columbus, Georgia in 1973 and continued her education at the Columbus School of Business.

Her career included various positions in banking and business until becoming co-owner with her husband Steve of the long-established local business, Sisson Hydraulics, for 27 years. 

Beth had a never-ending love for all living things including plants, animals, flowers and her fellow human beings. She showed this by rescuing many cats and dogs and never hesitating to offer help to anyone that she thought needed assistance. She touched the hearts and lives of many people with her kindness and caring. Her hobbies included a passion for reading, gardening and coin collecting. 

Beth was preceded in death by her father Frederick Michael, mother Betty Lou and her brother Fredrick Michael Jr. She is survived by her sister Kathryn, her brother Carl Michael and her husband Steve 

Visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 5:00PM to 7:00PM, followed immediately by The Funeral Service at 7:00PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave in Rome, GA.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home, ensuring that every detail reflects the grace and dignity of a life well-lived.
